Lupang Hinirang aims to commemorate the 70th year of the University’s move from its 10-hectare original site in Ermita, Manila to its 493-hectare campus in Diliman through the lens of history, narratives of place and the discursive potential of heritage studies. Through a combination of archival research, oral history methods, and installation art, the exhibit will explore the contextual understanding of the relationship of history, people, site, structures, sound and material culture, serving as the basis of understanding UP Diliman as an active heritage site.
