The Bulwagan ng Dangal University Heritage Museum wraps up the month-long celebration of its fifteenth anniversary with a brown bag session entitled ๐๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ: ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, which gathered registrars, collections officers, curators, and scholars from museums and institutions with fine arts collections in UP Diliman, UP Manila, and national government agencies. Facilitated by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ก๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐, the session allowed the participants to discuss urgent and significant challenges that they face in managing and caring for their collections. The discussion stressed on the need for collective efforts in addressing the structural problems that beset museums and heritage institutions in the government, and the need to continue fostering connections and synergies among one another.
The Bulwagan is grateful for the participation of representatives from Parola UP College of Fine Arts Gallery, UP Asian Center Museum, UP Main Library Special Collections and University Archives, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Museum, Cultural Center of the Philippines Visual Arts and Museum Division, Government Service Insurance System Museo ng Sining, Intramuros Administration, National Museum of the Philippines, and UP Manila Museum of a History of Ideas.
The project was sponsored by the UP Diliman OICA and was supported by the museumโs home unit, the U.P. Theater Complex.
