ABUEVA IKOTOUR: Whom Art Should Serve

The Bulwagan ng Dangal University Heritage Museum presents ๐€๐๐”๐„๐•๐€ ๐ˆ๐Š๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐”๐‘: ๐–๐ก๐จ๐ฆ ๐€๐ซ๐ญ ๐’๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž, a roving survey of Napoleon V. Abuevaโ€™s public art in UP Diliman. The walking and riding tour utilizes the ๐”๐ ๐ˆ๐ค๐จ๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ž๐ž๐ฉ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ, a campus icon since the Universityโ€™s transfer to Diliman in 1949.

๐๐š๐ฉ๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐จ๐ง ๐•. ๐€๐›๐ฎ๐ž๐ฏ๐š (1930โ€“2018), the youngest recipient of the National Artist award, created many of UP Dilimanโ€™s enduring landmarks, including ๐‘‡โ„Ž๐‘’ ๐ถ๐‘Ÿ๐‘ข๐‘๐‘–๐‘“๐‘–๐‘ฅ, ๐‘ˆ๐‘›๐‘–๐‘ฃ๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘ฆ ๐บ๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘’๐‘ค๐‘Ž๐‘ฆ, ๐‘‡๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘๐‘ข๐‘ก๐‘’ ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐ป๐‘–๐‘”โ„Ž๐‘’๐‘Ÿ ๐ธ๐‘‘๐‘ข๐‘๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›, ๐‘†๐‘–๐‘ฆ๐‘Ž๐‘š ๐‘›๐‘Ž ๐ท๐‘–๐‘ค๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘Ž ๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘†๐‘–๐‘›๐‘–๐‘›๐‘”, ๐‘‡โ„Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘’ ๐‘Š๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘› ๐‘†๐‘’๐‘ค๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐‘Ž ๐น๐‘™๐‘Ž๐‘”, and ๐‘€๐‘Ž๐‘”๐‘‘๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘”๐‘Ž๐‘™.
