๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, fifteen years ago, the Office of the Chancellor and the Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) inaugurated the ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐๐ ๐๐ง ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ, which since then has served as our university heritage museum. We commemorate its first one and a half decade with the release of the video feature entitled,
This video feature traces the beginnings and the developments within our Bulwagan through gathering stories from past curators, staff, administrators, and exhibiting artists, curators, and scholars. Reflecting on these stories reveals various modes of making sense of the concept of โUP heritageโ in the context of a museum.
The project is part of the 2024 UP Diliman Arts and Culture Festival, which, through the leadership of the UPD Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts, commemorates the 75th anniversary of the transfer of the ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ from Ermita to Diliman. Responding to the festivalโs theme โPamamalagi at Pamamahagi,โ it dwells on the museumโs role within our university community and beyond, as we yearn for and anticipate its long-awaited return to a permanent physical home.
