Located at the South Wing Basement of the Gonzalez Hall (Main Library complex), the Bulwagan ng Dangal lies at the heart of the university campus, reflecting the position of the values it promote in the milieu of the UP Diliman community.
Main Hall
The Bulwagan ng Dangal Main Hall is a large art gallery, with a floor area of 485 square meters and 12-foot ceilings. It is often considered to be the largest one of its kind in the campus. Covering a large part of the Southwing basement of the Gonzalez Hall, it once served as the reading room, a hub of activity and learning. Because of the reverberations caused by its coffered ceiling, the hall has also been used as a performance space.
Atelyer Gallery
The Atelyer Gallery is a space at the Bulwagan adjacent to the Main Hall. With a floor area of 101 square meters and 12-foot ceilings, it is often used for smaller exhibitions. The transparent tiles furnished on its ceiling allow natural light to enter the space, marking the gallery’s distinction from the dimmed Main Hall.

We encourage exhibitions and events from UP academic units and alumni who seek to promote social awareness and the enrichment of the academic community. For groups outside of UP Diliman, we encourage partnerships with UP units or offices. The Bulwagan ng Dangal also caters to academic and artistic events with an audience of 100 to 150 people. Classified under academic events are lectures and workshops; for artistic events, recitals and small performances (such as one-act plays). For events and performances, kindly address a formal request letter with the event details to bulwaganngdangal.upd@up.edu.ph.
We charge rental fees for the use of our exhibition spaces. Please see the table below for our rental rates, as well as overtime rates for our custodians during exhibition ingress and egress, and opening receptions. Overtime rates also apply to events.
